Well hello there, I guess this is my chance to tell you a little bit about me. I’m a third year Viking Studies student at the University of Nottingham, and I’m starting this up not only as a distraction from my impending dissertation but also as a platform for talking about stuff that I’m interested in.
You’ll get to hear many things from me, for just as my wardrobe varies from Necessary Evil items (beautiful things there! http://www.katesclothing.co.uk/ ) to my fantastic patchwork dungarees, I’m a bit of a butterfly in terms of things I find interesting. I’m a feminist book lover, I love making beaded flowers and jewellery, baking and cooking are a big part of my down time when I get stressed. I have a thing about wearing too much jewellery too! My favourite rings are from my Hairy one (otherwise known as my boyfriend), that came from an awesome shop called Ice Nine in Nottingham. Sadly it doesn’t have a website yet, otherwise I’d direct you there.
I’ve just moved into a beautiful flat with the Hairy, in an old Linen House. It’s fancy and has pillars 😀 Sadly we can’t unpack properly because we have no storage space for the multiple crates of books that we’ve gathered over the years!
So, you’re just as likely to get an update about where I’ve been, what’s been on my mind, pretty things I want but can’t afford yet, and possibly I’ll even review my Kindle when I get around to buying it! My dissertation is likely to feature heavily, but I promise it’s interesting 😀
Anywho, that’s part of me in a nutshell 🙂 Feel free to get in touch, ask questions of me and so on! I’m new to all this so please be patient 🙂
