I caught my first wish today! Hairy and I went into town for some shopping therapy (read torment) and as all the leaves were being caught by the wind I waited under a tree until I caught a leaf J My mum told me when I was a little girl that if you could catch a falling leaf before it hit the ground you got to make a wish. I’ve stuck by this for years now! I also wish at 11:11, blowing a dandelion clock and on the first star I see at night. Hairy introduced me to a new one – find an eyelash on you and blow it away to make your wish J It’s little things like that that make me so happy, and they seem to be working so far so I’m just going to keep wishing!
Basic jeans in New Look are the spawn of the devil – they are cut funnily and so wouldn’t go up over my bum. This didn’t not lead to good feelings, but as Hairy said, I am not made by the way I look or the clothes I wear and so I’m not going to feel bad. I refuse to be made to feel bad because a cheap pair of jeans weren’t the right size!
We are also not allowed in any toy sections ever again. We popped into John Lewis to see if we could find the polar bears that were in the window and then spent the next half an hour going crazy over the cutes. I REALLY want a Sylvanian family set – used to have them when I was little and I loved them 🙂 Then we found a couple of giant hand puppets that made noises! We ended up playing with them so much that other people started commenting…. We’re way cool 😀
I’m sat in at home now, Hairy’s on the other sofa playing Fall Out, we’re listening to Jeff Wayne’s “War of the Worlds” – beautiful music and such an awesome story! The film is an appalling rendition of a fantastic concert piece, but it’s good enough in its own way. I’m drinking Glühwein, the German version of mulled wine that it says is ok to drink around Hallowe’en. I’m sure it’s nearly Hallowe’en, right?? Ok, I’m just an alcofrolic! I’ve got a pan heating on the stove and a carton of orange juice to pop in it and cool it down. The world is good!
Happy Saturday my lovelies. I hope you’ve had/are having as good a day as I have.
