If you could quit one bad habit instantly without difficulty, which would it be?
I’m still using the prompts since I have caught a stinking head cold from somewhere and my brain has decided to make a run for it out of my right ear. Having said that, my left ear feels all weird now so maybe that’s the one it’s escaping from.
I asked Hairy this as per usual. He actually surprised me and said he’d want to stop smoking if it didn’t cause any fuss, which makes me unreasonably happy. It was the one condition that I stipulated before we started dating, that if we ever did date he’d have to quit.
For me, I’m not quite sure. I know I have a whole host of annoying and bad things that I do, but I don’t know if they qualify as bad habits or just annoying personality traits! I’m incredibly lazy which leads to giant piles of laundry and washing up that all need to be done at once. I’m overly fond of mince pies (three a day at the moment) and sweet things and have a terrible tendency to comfort eat when ill/stressed/bored. I think I’d like to crack that one actually! I don’t want to be a comfort eater, it wrecks all attempts at healthy living and gets rather expensive when I’m always baking!
Do you have any bad habits you’d like to quit, but can’t be bothered to deal with the actual quitting?
Second shift at Waterstones, following an early morning gym session and then vague attempts at cleaning the house before the Oldies arrive. I’m absolutely cream crackered and off to drink tea and listen to my embarrassing music (currently Queen so that is actually pretty epic). Apologies for the short and uninspired post!
