I just asked Hairy for some inspiration since I’ve had a pretty quiet weekend with the parents to stay, so nothing really going on there. Pops and I cleared the garden of leaves (HUZZAH!), I jumped in the bin of leaves and nearly fell over and I started on a really lovely new beading project but haven’t done enough to warrant any photos of the progress.
So Hairy gave me a prompt – why I like to WoW. I started playing World of Warcraft about three or four months ago when Hairy picked up playing again and I had a bit too much time on my hands! I have three characters at the moment: a troll that bashes things, a red panda that shoots things and another lady troll that I haven’t really played much yet!
I like playing WoW for a few reasons, and it’s not just that it’s addicting! I used to play another multi player online game called Lord of the Rings Online with a group of friends but we ended up losing interest after a few months. With Hairy’s brothers, they like to play It was far prettier, but the graphics in Wow are really bright and pretty (sound like such a girl there).
Hairy and I like questing as much as playing dungeons because you get all the story line (which I completely don’t understand because I haven’t played the earlier versions), but the dungeons are great for picking up extra gear and levelling quickly. It’s harder to play dungeons because you play with other characters and can end up getting knocked out of the group by the other players.
I find computer gaming easier than playing on the PS3 because the controls are easier to get the hang of. I didn’t have a console when I was growing up so I’m still getting to grips with how to use a PS controller and find it a bit stressful trying to play games on the PS3.
Plus I didn’t want to turn into a gamer’s girlfriend. I’ve been one before, sat watching and getting bored. Instead I’m involved and having fun rather than resenting every minute of his gaming time!
